Granite is a naturally found igneous rock. It is as hard and strong as the diamond and considered to be one of the hardest known building stones. Secondly, it is resistant to heat, air, water and bacteria and hence, very durable or long-lasting. The coloration does not fade over time, leaving your granite as vivid and radiant as when it was first installed.
Also, it is one of the most easily available stones which are also found in a variety of colors and patterns. Granite tile countertops are prominently used for their beauty and easy maintenance. It does not react to any of the acids like vinegar, citric acid, etc. used in cooking. Having all these properties, granite tile is one of the most favored materials for countertop over laminate or ceramic.
At Nelson Tile and Stone we have our own fabrication shop on site. Once we order and receive your slab all work is done here locally. This makes turnaround time and install much quicker than many other companies. When you are doing a remodel this can be very important so the down time of your kitchen is at a minimal. With new construction time schedules are very important to keep so the constant flow of work with all subcontractors is consistent and as scheduled.
